Wow…it’s kinda been a while since I’ve posted. Uhm…Oops? I’ve been a bit…distracted…the past several months. I got the car registered, then Rob and I went to a few cons, and it seems like we’ve been busy every other weekend (We met George R.R. Martin! And Neil Gaiman!). Or rather, we’ve been playing a new MMO every other weekend. And I haven’t gotten much written. Either just not in the mood (yeah, I know, write anyway), or I was reading, or we went to see a movie, or I needed help to figure out something in a scene so I could rewrite it, or whathaveyou. (Excuses, excuses.)
I really did need help figuring out a scene. Still do, actually. But I was also waiting on Rob to read through the first several chapters so we could go over them for notes. I didn’t want to start in on a rewrite just to get notes back on an older version. Which has been a bit frustrating, since it meant I was a bit stalled in forward momentum.
The opening of the story’s also been giving me fits, though I think I found that the other day. Of course, Rob read it (it’s only 93 words-quick read) and said that it’s good but still needs work.
Oh! I bought a new desk. It’s so that I have more useable space, and also to make my writing room more of a writing room. I still need to find some kinda thingie for storage space on top, which might entail building something, but I’ll be posting about that once it’s all done. Right now, the desktop is mostly covered with papers from me clearing out my files.
